Defective Workmanship Liability
-
Defective workmanship liability may arise as a result of maintenance or repairs carried out under a contract of service where there was a defect or error or omission in such work, which results in consequential accidental death or bodily injury or illness or accidental loss of or physical damage to property. Cover excludes that part of the property in your custody and control and the specific item or property that was being worked on.
General & Tenants Liability
-
There are many forms of liability insurance available, but in all instances, this essential cover protects your business against you or your employee’s lawfully proven, negligent but unintended wrongdoing or error that, during the course of the business, resulted in death, bodily injury, illness or loss or damage to a third party’s property. Admission of liability or acceptance of responsibility, on moral or other grounds, on behalf of the insurance company is prohibited. Doing so will immediately nullify the cover offered by the policy.
Products Liability
-
A products liability policy extends to cover liability resulting from products which are manufactured, sold or supplied by a business. In terms of the consumer protection act, the wholesaler or retailer of a product is as exposed to liability arising from a product as if he where the manufacturer. Cover provided excludes the cost of replacing or recalling the product itself. The policy includes cover for legal defence costs and so releases you from the burden and cost of defending a claim.
